Tina Magazzini wins the MCAA 2017 Social Impact Award

Winners of the MCAA awards have been selected by an independent jury under four different categories, being the MCAA Social Impact Award one of the four together with MCAA Career Award; MCAA Best Innovator Award; and MCAA Outstanding Contributor Award.

Ms. Magazzini, who will defend her PhD thesis in the following weeks, has based her career development on a sound academic excellent track and on a strong social commitment and engagement. She has participated in over 25 international events and conferences, and regularly collaborates with local entities and Roma associations.

Already during her participation in the INTEGRIM project, Ms. Magazzini participated in the film school organised by CEU in collaboration with the ITN Changing Employment. She started her engagement in an initiative developed in collaboration with other ERSs and Italian colleagues: WOTS Magazne. This was founded to promote the dissemination of research in socio-economic and cultural spheres, and to foster dialogue among stakeholders through online editorial work.

Ms. Magazzini’s professional track and projection is clear, as reflects not only her actual position as UNESCO Migration Officer within the Social and human Science unit in Zimbabwe but also her former experience working for the EC and her participation in Action grants funded by DG Justice: ROMUNICARE, or the Council of Europe project: ROMACT.
